1-Stop Survival Preparedness

Disaster Survival

Disaster survival information can be life-saving, no matter where on earth you are. Earth is a living organism that is constantly seeking balance and equilibrium. There are often natural disasters and the potential for man-made disasters, like nuclear power station disasters, war and terrorism. Unfortunately many people die unnecessary, due partly to a lack of disaster survival preparedness.

It is really good to already have an idea of what to do in such a situation, and you will find that information on this website. Some of the material on disaster survival is used with permission from FEMA - the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency and 72hours.org by the City of San Francisco. However, this does not imply that they endorse this website in any way.

It is easy in a disaster situation to become disorientated, confused or distraught and therefore not effectively deal with the situation. You also do not always have time to look in different places to find your different emergency resources. So the safest course of action is to keep it simple, have it all together and know exactly where it is.

If you are reading this on your computer, you may not have the time to find this during an emergency. You may not even have electricity. It is best to have it printed out as a book, at least the Emergency Response sections. Therefore this website has been published in e-book form, with the the Emergency Response Summaries in one printable section. It may cost a few dollars, but it may save a life one day. For details, click Survival E-book.

This website includes the disaster survival preparedness information and the immediate actions required for all of the major disasters, as listed below.

Summary

There are more disaster situations we could cover, but by now I think you have seen that there is a lot in common in the different kinds of disasters above. Once you have developed an awareness of preparedness, you can use that knowledge to adapt it to just about any situation. As mentioned right in the beginning, your best survival tool is common sense.
